To further consolidate its leading position in the machine tool industry, Shandong Weida Machinery decided in 2018 to partner with SIPM Software, adopting the SIPM/PLM product lifecycle management system as its product development management platform, and has made additional licence purchases in the years since. Using SIPM/PLM to build an R&D management platform, the company has connected the information flows across design, process engineering and ERP. Through the PLM project it created a collaborative product design platform that allows technical knowledge to be shared and passed on, and provides accurate data sources for production systems such as ERP and MES — supplying a missing link that is essential to the company's IT landscape.

Recently, Weida Machinery and SIPM Software renewed their after-sales service agreement for 2026–2029. Through the online after-sales service platform built by SIPM, users can directly monitor service progress and service quality, safeguarding the continuous, stable operation of the enterprise R&D management platform.

Its main products cover precision tooling, mid- to high-end NC machine tools, turnkey intelligent manufacturing system solutions, the proprietary high-speed parallel robot "iDemac", power tool switches and high-power lithium battery charging protection systems, precision castings and powder metallurgy parts, and saw blades for stone, wood and metalworking.

The company has strong technical capabilities, with seven enterprise technology centres at national, provincial and municipal level and more than 100 patents in drill chuck manufacturing. Its management systems are well established, having obtained a series of certifications covering quality, environment, occupational health and safety, and intellectual property.
