Chongqing Jinna Power Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise dedicated to the production, design, and R&D of new-energy electric vehicle transmission systems and a full range of front and rear axle transmission assemblies for ATVs. Notably, its "New-Energy Special Vehicle Differential Assembly" has been recognized as a "National Torch Program Industrialization Demonstration Project" by China's Ministry of Science and Technology. The company boasts advanced assets such as an intelligent transmission assembly line, an online comprehensive performance testing station, and dozens of high-precision four-axis CNC machining centers. Project Goals
To meet the customized needs of numerous domestic and international customers and accelerate product development cycle management, the implementation of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system project is of significant importance to Jinna Company’s management and operations. Through the implementation of the SIPM/PLM project, the following objectives will be achieved:
(1) Leverage project management tools to standardize the company’s project management processes, ensuring controllable product development timelines and deliverables, as well as comprehensive management of all project documentation. This approach will enable engineers to have clearer and more rational work schedules, while providing managers with greater transparency in project monitoring—ultimately supporting better decision-making.
(2) Develop a clear and comprehensive product lineage by leveraging 2D interface design through drawings, enabling direct extraction of materials, BOMs, and drawings into the PLM system. This will establish an integrated process design platform, linking process routes, material quotas, process documentation, and foundational process data directly to product designs, thereby enhancing overall process design efficiency.
(3) Streamline enterprise information flow by enabling seamless data transmission with the ERP system (covering materials, BOMs, and process data), standardizing and solidifying the product change management process, and ensuring full traceability of all technical data—thus better aligning with quality management system standards.
(4) By establishing a knowledge base, we will accumulate organizational process assets and ensure the accuracy, completeness, standardization, and security of product data—shifting from reliance on individuals to dependence on documents and processes.
After jointly reviewing and streamlining Chongqing Jinna's overall design business processes, the two project teams unified and integrated modules such as project management, product management, component management, BOM management, process management, design software interface integration, change management, knowledge base management, standardization management, and coding management.

By managing various foundational databases through the Sippl PLM system, we have enhanced the standardized management of the product design database. Additionally, the PLM platform enables independent part coding, while the coding rule system is systematically integrated and managed for orderly control. Furthermore, design and R&D knowledge bases, along with document templates, standard documents, process designs, and reports, are now all unified under a single, platform-based management framework.

The successful implementation of PLM this time has provided Chongqing Jinna with an efficient R&D management platform for project management and product development.
(1) Establish configuration lists based on system products and assign design tasks by module, laying a solid foundation for modular design. Product documents are linked to product information, with the BOM serving as the central connector to enable integrated management, thereby promoting standardization and normalization in product R&D data management.
(2) By leveraging design model-driven approaches to create the system's modular BOM, seamless integration between design software and PLM ensures consistency between drawings, material information, and BOM data.
(3) By standardizing and streamlining the change management process, we effectively control changes, enhance product quality, and ensure the engineering change process is solidified with visualized tracking, making engineering changes fully manageable and traceable.
(4) By integrating various business systems, we have truly streamlined the data flow for enterprise product R&D management, enhancing the efficiency of enterprise information utilization while minimizing data risks caused by manual entry and reducing labor costs associated with repetitive tasks.
(5) Knowledge base management enables enterprises to accumulate knowledge and facilitates real-time knowledge sharing, laying a solid foundation for the organization's knowledge传承.
